☀️ Summer Dog Myths: Busted! – Day 5

“Dogs Can’t Get Sunburned” – Skin Safety & UV Risks

To wrap up our summer myth-busting series, we’re shining a light (literally) on a dangerous myth that can have serious consequences—especially for light-colored, short-haired, or hairless pups.

🌞 Myth: “Dogs can’t get sunburned—they’re covered in fur!”

🚫 Totally false—and potentially harmful.

Fur may offer some protection, but it’s not UV armor. Many dogs are at risk for sunburn, skin damage, and even skin cancer when exposed to strong summer sun.
